Ganz, Webkinz, and Webkinz World continue to hold strong in the plush toy market and they continue to make the headlines of national and local newspapers. Here are some excerpts from stories about Webkinz that I have found around the Internet.
The Star Phoenix - “Webkinz fever has swept the city, and neither kids nor their parents can get enough of them.”
Bugle-Observer - “Webkinz, as created and marketed by Ganz, use a combination of soft toys and an engaging Web site to keep kids happy and busy. The soft toys are normally animals or toy accessories which have special codes on their tags. These codes allow a child to create an online version of their toy on the Webkinz Web site.”
